For water-based composite adhesives, the recesses of the glue roller should be shallow and the openings large to allow the adhesive to contact the substrate with the maximum surface area, resulting in a uniform coating, fast drying speed, good composite appearance, and high peel strength. A suitable mesh roller is a prerequisite for ensuring the amount of adhesive and peel strength, and users should adjust it according to equipment conditions and lamination speed. It is recommended to use 180-200 lines /in of electro-engraved rollers, connecting the mesh holes, with a mesh hole depth of 32-35um 。During use, clean the glue roller frequently to prevent clogging, and after a period of use, re-chrome or engrave a new mesh roller. The appropriate amount of glue application is 1.6 ~ 2.4g / ㎡, not less than 1.6g / ㎡, otherwise the peel strength cannot be guaranteed. If too much adhesive is applied, it will affect the drying of the adhesive and the leveling of the adhesive on the surface of the adhesive film, thus affecting the appearance and peel strength of the composite material.

2. Product bubbles during high-speed mixing and their solutions: In order to keep up with production progress and reduce costs, the speed of the mixer is usually very fast, some even exceeding 160m / min . At this mixing speed, water-based composite adhesives tend to foam more in the adhesive tank. If production continues for several days, foam will accumulate more and more, even overflowing from the adhesive tank. If certain measures are not taken at this time, problems such as low adhesive amount, low strength, and white spots on the appearance may occur. The best solution is to place a homogenizing bar in the adhesive tank to defoam. At the same time, use the method of circulating glue to ensure that the glue in the glue tank is not too little. There should be a spare recycling rubber bucket. If the foam in the rubber bucket cannot be eliminated after long-term operation, a spare rubber bucket can be used for the glue, and the original rubber bucket can be replaced after the foam disappears.

3. Water-based composite adhesives can be diluted with water. Currently, most water-based composite adhesives on the market are emulsion-type. The principle is that the high-polymer polymer relies on emulsifiers to exist stably in water. In fact, it is a metastable state with many external influences, and external forces will cause the glue to break the emulsion and lose its function. Unless specifically recommended by the manufacturer of the water-based composite adhesive, it is not recommended to dilute the adhesive with water, because diluting with water will increase the surface tension of the adhesive, destroy the stability of the adhesive, and cause stratification. In addition, dilution will change the surface properties of the product, resulting in poor wettability and affecting the appearance of the composite material.
