Key points for using environmentally friendly adhesives

2020-12-09

  1. Choose a suitable eco-friendly spray adhesive, leave it at room temperature for sufficient time before use.

  2. Consider the strength and durability of the eco-friendly spray adhesive to choose a suitable one.

  3. Do not use eco-friendly spray adhesive that has exceeded its storage period and service life.

  4. If the single-component adhesive shows stratification and precipitation, it should be thoroughly stirred before use.

  5. Multi-component adhesives should be mixed evenly in the specified proportions.

  6. Do not use simple butt joints, non-butt joint bonding measures, and take appropriate reinforcement measures.

  7. Try using overlapping, mitered, socket, and mixed joints.

  8. The lap length should not be too long.

  9. Do not use lap joints to bond laminates, but use miter joints.

  10. Add screws and rivets, curl the edges and wrap the corners to prevent peeling.

  11. The amount of degreasing solvent should not be too large to prevent moisture in the air from condensing on the surface and reducing the bonding strength.

  12. Oily dirt on the adhesive surface should be cleaned, degreased first, then polished, and then degreased again.

  13. The solvent used for degreasing, the fabric and abrasive used for sandblasting should be replaced in time to avoid affecting the processing effect due to dirt.

  14. The surface roughness is appropriate and should not be too large.

  15. After surface treatment, the standing time should not be too long, and bonding should be carried out as soon as possible.

  16. The surface of the eco-friendly spray adhesive should be preheated to (30-40) ℃ before coating.

  17. The amount of eco-friendly spray adhesive should not be too large, the adhesive layer should be thin rather than thick, but ensure that there is no lack of adhesive.

  18. The thickness of the solvent-based adhesive should be fully dried, but not over-dried.

  19. The viscosity of the adhesive should not be too large, it can be reduced by heating or dilution.

  20. The clamping pressure during assembly is sufficient, too small or too large is not suitable.

  21. Heat-cured adhesives should first be gelled at room temperature to prevent flow and lack of glue.

  22. Heating and curing should gradually increase the temperature, the speed should not be too fast, and the temperature should be uniform.

  23. Pressure should not be applied too early, and the pressure should be uniform.

  24. The curing temperature cannot be too high or too low to avoid over-curing or under-curing.

  25. The curing time should be strictly controlled, it cannot be too long or too short.

  26. After the eco-friendly spray adhesive is heat-cured, please cool slowly and do not rush out the bonded parts.

  27. Post-curing should be carried out as much as possible to eliminate internal stress.

  28. The bonding environment temperature is not lower than 18. The relative humidity does not exceed 65%, the air is clean, dust-free, and prevents surface contamination.

  29. Strengthen the inspection of the appearance and performance of the bonded product.
