Vacuum thermoforming adhesive operation process for reference

The vacuum thermoforming process generally includes twelve steps:

One . First, material preparation: Medium density fiberboard (MDF)

1. Ensure the surface of the board is clean, 2. When sanding the edges of the cut MDF, use the finest sandpaper possible. This prevents uneven glue absorption and pinholes during the gluing process due to excessively rough fibers.

Two . Precautions for selecting composite film

l. Select the appropriate film based on temperature requirements. Different composite films react differently to high temperatures. If changing materials, assess operating conditions before mass production.

2. Use composite films with as low a plasticizer content as possible, as plasticizers in the film may migrate to the surface under prolonged storage and high temperatures, affecting the bonding effect.

3. For rigid composite films: A shorter thermoforming time and relatively higher thermoforming temperature are recommended.

4. For soft composite films: A longer thermoforming time and relatively lower thermoforming temperature are recommended.

Three . Regarding the moisture content of MDF

1. Generally, the moisture content of MDF should be controlled at 6% One 14%

2. The bonding conditions require the moisture content of the MDF to be controlled at 8% One 12%

Four . Requirements for the storage and mixing of adhesive and hardener

1. Under normal circumstances, the single-component vacuum thermoforming adhesive produced can meet the requirements.

2. If the customer's heat resistance requirements for the finished product exceed 70℃ or the production workshop temperature and humidity are too high, it is recommended to add a hardener. The amount of hardener is 3% One 5%

3. The main agent and hardener must be mixed evenly. Electric stirring is recommended, and the mixing time should be no less than 2 minutes

4. Store in a cool place, and the storage temperature should not be lower than 5℃

5. When the main agent and hardener are not in use, the lid must be tightly closed. Use immediately after opening; adding water is not recommended.

6. Must not be mixed with other adhesives.

Five . How to spray glue and how to determine the amount of glue

1. Spray the glue evenly. Double the amount of glue is needed for the sides and concave-convex surfaces compared to the flat surface.

2. Generally, the glue amount for flat surfaces is: 55—85g/m , and the glue amount for contoured surfaces is: 75 One 125 g/m

Six . Selection of thermoforming method

Thermoforming methods are divided into two types: dry thermoforming and wet thermoforming.

Seven . Minimum activation temperature of the adhesive

The minimum activation temperature refers to the minimum temperature required for the adhesive to activate and produce bonding properties during the thermoforming process, corresponding to the temperature that the adhesive film layer can reach, not the machine setting temperature. ! Generally, the higher the thermoforming temperature, the better the adhesion of the film to the surface of the composite film, which is beneficial to the bonding effect. However, customers often consider the heat resistance of the composite film and lower the thermoforming temperature.

Eight . Vacuum degree determining conditions

1. The vacuum degree depends on different thermoforming equipment, different composite film manufacturers, different thicknesses of composite films, thermoforming temperature, the profile of the board surface, the placement position of the board, etc. Customers should adjust accordingly based on their actual situation.

Nine . Determining factors of vacuum time

l. The vacuum time depends on: the softness and hardness of the composite film, the thermoforming temperature, the profile of the board, the vacuum degree, etc. Customers should adjust accordingly based on their actual situation.

2. Generally, based on experience, ensuring that the thermoforming temperature reaches the minimum preheating temperature of the adhesive, PVC Under the condition of sufficient softening, 120 seconds.

Ten . Pressure

Based on experience, the pressure is usually 2 ~ 18kg/m or so.

1. For wet thermoforming, the recommended pressure time is: 3-5 minutes.

2. For dry thermoforming, the recommended pressure time is: 2-3 minutes.

Eleven .

Pressure time requirements:

1. For wet thermoforming, the recommended pressure time is: 3-5 minutes.

2. For dry thermoforming, the recommended pressure time is: 2-3 minutes.

Twelve . Selection of spray gun nozzle diameter

l. Generally, the spray gun nozzle diameter is: 1.5-2.5mm 。

2. If the spray gun nozzle diameter is small, 1.0mm The nozzle is easy to clog during operation, affecting work efficiency. ; Large spray gun nozzle diameter .
