I. Performance Characteristics
DA-1512 is a high-solid-content, food-grade, formaldehyde-free, low-VOC environmentally friendly emulsion. The emulsion has internal plasticization and contains no plasticizers. Its latex film is transparent and flexible, and its surface has a sticky tape-like property, eliminating the need for plasticizers during use.
The emulsion exhibits excellent aging resistance, alkali resistance, saponification resistance, and heat creep resistance. It demonstrates good stability against film degradation and discoloration caused by ultraviolet light, oxygen, and ozone. The emulsion has excellent adhesion to various substrates, high initial tack, and strong tackifying properties.
Its excellent water resistance makes it an ideal resin for adhesive production.
This water-based composite adhesive for flexible packaging is a multi-copolymer liquid of acrylates and various functional monomers. It is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, easy to use, has good film transparency and leveling, is odorless, and dries quickly. It is suitable for bonding BOPP, PE, PET, PVC, labels, prints, plastic films, metal films, and for the mutual lamination of plastic films in food packaging bags, as well as high-strength lamination with CPP aluminum-coated film and PET aluminum-coated film. This product will be an ideal water-based environmentally friendly alternative to solvent-based and alcohol-soluble plastic-plastic composite adhesives.

III. Usage Process and Precautions
1. Dry base adhesive amount: 1.8-3.2g/㎡.
2. The lamination speed should ensure that the adhesive is completely dried before pressing. Lamination should not proceed if the adhesive on the film is not dry. For high-speed dry laminators with excellent drying performance, the speed can be controlled at 140-200m/min. For zoned drying channels, the temperature gradient from the film inlet to the outlet is generally controlled between 80-90℃, 90-105℃, and 85-95℃. The machine should only be started after the temperature reaches the set value. The lamination roller temperature is set to around 75-95℃, and the lamination roller pressure should be set as high as possible. Without damaging the composite product, the higher the lamination roller temperature and pressure, the better the bonding strength of the composite product.
3. No curing is required after lamination; it can be directly slit.
4. The composite substrates, such as PE, CPP, BOPP, PET, and PA films, require surface treatment. Their surface tension should be: PE, BOPP, CPP ≥38 dynes, PET ≥50 dynes, PA ≥52 dynes.
5. The type and content of film additives affect the bonding strength of the composite film. Selection should be made before use. The content of slip agents in the film is particularly crucial and must be strictly controlled.
6. This product cannot be mixed with other adhesives. Before use, the mesh roller and glue pan must be thoroughly cleaned, and contact with solvents such as ethyl acetate and toluene must be strictly limited to prevent coating shrinkage. It can be cleaned first with isopropyl alcohol and then with water. If solvent-based composite adhesives were used previously, they should be cleaned with ethyl acetate first, then with isopropyl alcohol, ethanol, etc., and finally rinsed with water before adding adhesive for production.
7. When stopping the machine, the doctor blade should be raised, allowing the coating roller to slowly rotate in the adhesive. Factors such as the machine, temperature, and composite materials can all affect the composite product. Small-scale tests under the same conditions should be conducted before mass production.
